About ‘Statia Song’ by Jeanette Bos in The Daily Herald, August 5, 2016:
The book captures daily life, special moments and celebrations of Statia families and individuals. (…) Jeanette Bos wanted to catch the essence of the traditional life of Statia’s old families and document how they are trying hard to safe what is left of their rituals and traditions. Statia Song tells their story in 87 photographs, each spread over two pages, measuring a foot by 1.5 feet. The images, in colour and in black and white, also showcase the landscape Statians live in. The book captures daily life, special moments and celebrations of Statia families and individuals. (…)
